Contract awarded for Contract No. DC/2012/09 “Pak Hok Lam Trunk Sewer and Sha Tau Kok Village Sewerage”

The Drainage Services Department signed a $187 million contract with the Contractor Kum Shing (K.F.) Construction Co. Ltd. on 12 July 2012 for construction of village sewers in Sha Tau Kok District to cope with planned developments and to improve environmental hygiene in unsewered villages.

The contract comprises mainly the construction of about 2 km of trunk sewers along Sha Tau Kok Road; about 7.5 km of sewers for the nine unsewered areas; and one sewage pumping station at Wu Shek Kok with associated twin rising mains.  The contract is scheduled for completion in 2016.
