Contract awarded for Contract No. DC/2012/04 “Sewerage in Kau Lung Hang San Wai, Kau Lung Hang Lo Wai and Tai Hang”

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a $178 million contract with the Contractor Hsin Chong Tsun Yip Joint Venture on 20 June 2012 for construction of village sewers in Tai Po District to cope with the planned developments, and to implement sewerage works improving the environmental hygiene in unsewered villages.

The contract comprises mainly the construction of about 11 km sewers in 3 unsewered villages in Tai Po (namely Kau Lung Hang San Wai, Kau Lung Hang Lo Wai and Tai Hang); and one sewage pumping station in Tai Hang with associated twin rising mains.  The contract is scheduled for completion in mid-2016.
