Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence to DSD (Headquarters)

Drainage Services Department (DSD) has won a Certificate of Merit in the 2011 HKAEE for the 4th consecutive year.

This is a recognition of DSD’s commitment and continual effort of the staff to deliver drainage services in an environmentally friendly manner. Apart from keeping offices green, every opportunity is taken to adopt green measures in the sewerage and drainage projects. They include green roof, vertical greening, solar energy devices, LED lighting, energy recovery from biogas, and ecological features such as fish ladder etc.

DSD aims to improve its environmental performance by enhancing the stakeholder engagement. Last year, a green champion group was formed within DSD, and a green group forum was held to enhance the communications with the green groups.
