Contract awarded for Contract No. CE21/2011(DS) “Review of Drainage Master Plan in West Kowloon – Feasibility Study”

The Drainage Services Department has signed a $5.6 million consultancy contract with Mott MacDonald Hong Kong Limited on 17 January 2012 to conduct a study to review the Drainage Master Plan of the West Kowloon Stormwater Drainage Improvement Study which was conducted over ten years ago.
The hydrological and hydraulic models used will be upgraded to facilitate the assessment of the drainage systems for formulation of improvement proposals to cope with the latest planned development scenarios. The study is expected to be completed in 30 months. The estimated cost of the study, including the anticipated surveys and site investigations, is $13.7 million.
