2012 Drainage Services Department Open Day

2012 Drainage Services Department (DSD) Open Day will be held on 3-4 March 2012 (Saturday & Sunday) at Shatin Sewage Treatment Works.  Members of the public, schools and organization are cordially invited to our Open Day. 

Activities in this event include thematic visits, video shows, exhibitions, organic farm, shrubs planting, photo-taking corner, cultural and entertaining performance, computer animation games and game booths etc. Through exhibitions and tours of our facilities, members of the public could have a better understanding about the flood prevention, and sewage collection, treatment and disposal work in Hong Kong.

Moreover, to encourage students in developing and demonstrating their creativities, as well as to raise their understandings towards our work, a “DSD Primary & Secondary Schools Slogan Contest” is organized. The theme of the Slogan Contest is, “Our collaborated responsibilities to prevent flooding and treat dirty water”. The participating schools will recite their pieces on stage during the Open Day.

Free shuttle bus services will be provided at the following locations on these two days from 9:30am to 4:30pm (every 10-15 minutes):

- MTR University Station Bus Terminus

- On Chun Street (opposite to Ma On Shan Park)

- Pai Tau Street (Exit B of MTR Shatin Station)
