Contract awarded for Contract No. DC/2010/10 “Sewerage in Ping Kong, Fu Tei Pai and Tai Wo”

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a $167 million contract with the Contractor China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation on 1 December 2011 for construction of trunk sewers and village sewers to cope with the planned developments, and to implement sewerage works improving the environmental hygiene in unsewered villages in Tai Po District and North District.
The contract comprises mainly the construction of about 500m trunk sewers in Tai Wo Service Road East; about 8 km sewers in 3 villages namely: Ping Kong, Fu Tei Pai and Tai Wo; and two sewage pumping stations in Ping Kong and Tai Wo. The contract is scheduled for completion in end 2014.
