DSD awarded Contract No. DC/2017/01 “Construction of Dry Weather Flow Interceptor at Cherry Street Box Culvert”

The Drainage Services Department signed a construction contract of about $106 million with China Metallurgical Group Corporation - Top Express Construction Engineering Limited Joint Venture on 17 January 2018. The works include constructing a dry weather flow interceptor at Cherry Street box culvert and its associated pumping facilities, so as to improve the water quality of the New Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter.

The 55-month construction contract commenced in December 2017.
