Beijing Water Authority, Development Bureau, Drainage Services Department, Water Supplies Department and Environmental Protection Department co-organized a forum regarding the topic of water

The 21st Beijing Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium began today (28 November) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  During the same event in the afternoon, Beijing Water Authority, Development Bureau, Drainage Services Department, Water Supplies Department and Environmental Protection Department co-organized a forum regarding the topic of water, for exchanging the policy of water supplies, flood prevention and sewage treatment between Beijing and Hong Kong.

Guests included the Secretary of Beijing Water Authority, Mr JIN Shu-dong, the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr HON Chi-keung, the Director of Drainage Services, Mr Edwin TONG Ka-hung, the Deputy Director of Drainage Services, Mr MAK Ka-wai, the Deputy Director of Environmental Protection, Mr Elvis AU Wai-kwong and the Assistant Director of Water Supplies, Mr CHAN Chung-kun.

Beijing Water Authority and DSD signed a cooperation agreement at the forum to enhance the collaboration between Beijing and Hong Kong on aspects of flood prevention and sewage treatment.
