DSD Kai Tak River Improvement Works was bestowed the ACEHK Annual Award 2017

DSD Kai Tak River Improvement Works was bestowed the Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong (ACEHK) Annual Award 2017.  The Chairman of the ACEHK, Ir. Francis Kung praised the achievements of the Improvement Works in engineering excellence, ingenuity and sustainability.

In addition to enhancing the drainage capacity of the Kai Tak River, various greening and ecological elements were introduced to transform the river into an urban green river corridor.  The project team also adopted innovative design and technology, such as Early Rainstorm Alarm System which was co-developed with Hong Kong Observatory and innovative design for strengthening the river walls.
