DSD participated in the 12th Eco Expo Asia 2017, which was held from 26 to 29 October 2017 at Asia World-Expo. With the theme of “DSD’s renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives and achievements”, our exhibition booth included some display panels, video clips and operating information of the Solar Farm at Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works, as well as PV panels used in the Solar Farm and different parts of the world. Visitors could try to light different PV Panels at different brightness and thereby understood their individual characteristics.
Through taking a look at the display panels, enjoying the video clips and listening to our helpers’ briefing, the visitors could learn renewable energy utilized by the Department , including solar energy and biogas produced in the sewage treatment process, and various technologies which were applied to enhance the energy efficiency of the facilities.
