DSD participated in the Innocarnival 2017

29 October 2017

Innocarnival 2017 was held from 21st Oct 2017 to 29th Oct 2017 at the Hong Kong Science Park.  DSD showcased the projects “Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme (HVUSSS)” and “Solar Farm at Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Works (SHWSTW)” in the carnival.  With the aid of an interactive physical model and solar panel model, the visitors learnt more about the innovations adopted in the two projects and reinforced their understanding in DSD’s missions on flood prevention and sewage treatment works.

Apart from learning the project backgrounds and innovative project features from DSD’s colleagues, the children can also become an engineer to design a drainage network in a mini-game, after which their knowledge in drainage projects and the operation of stormwater storage tank was enriched.
