Switzerland’s daily newspaper Le Temps interviewed DSD Chief Engineer Mr KAN Hon-shing

On 18 August 2017, Chief Engineer of Drainage Projects Division, Mr KAN Hon-shing gave an interview to a Switzerland’s daily newspaper, Le Temps, about the Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme (HVUSSS).

At the interview, Mr Kan introduced the flood prevention strategies in Hong Kong, as well as the project background and the sustainable design of HVUSSS.  He then guided the reporter to visit the storage tank and explained the operation of movable weirs and rainwater reuse system.
