Xinhua News Agency interviewed DSD Chief Engineer Mr KAN Hon-shing

On 7 June 2017, Xinhua News Agency interviewed Chief Engineer of Drainage Projects Division, Mr KAN Hon-shing about underground works of DSD for flood prevention.
At the interview, Mr Kan explained flood prevention strategies in Hong Kong, which include the construction of drainage tunnels and stormwater storage tanks. He then guided the reporters to visit the Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Tank, and introduced its movable weirs and rainwater reuse system.
