DC/2013/01 - Sha Tin Rural Committee Pennants Presentation Ceremony

On 18 May 2017, Sha Tin Rural Committee presented pennants to Drainage Services Department in recognition of the project team’s exerted effort in minimizing the disturbance arising from the works to the nearby residents. Mr. MOK Kam-kwai (the Chairman of Sha Tin Rural Committee), Mr. LEE Che-kee (the Vice-chairman of Sha Tin Rural Committee), Mr. WAI Kwok-hung, JP (Ex-officio Member of Sha Tin Rural Committee), Mr. LIU Kwok-kau (the Resident Representative of Ngau Pei Sha Village), Mr. CHOI Man-woon (the Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Siu Lek Yuen Village), Mr. YEUNG Kau (the Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Siu Lek Yuen Village), Mr. CHENG Chee-hing (the Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Fo Tan Village), Mr. WAI Fook-cheung (the Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Sheung Keng Hau Village), Mr. LAU Loi-fu (the Indigenous Inhabitant Representative of Hin Tin Village), Mr. Michael FONG Hok-shing (Assistant Director/Projects and Development of DSD) and Mr. KWOK Ping-keung (Chief Engineer/Consultants Management of DSD) attended the ceremony as honorable guests.

DSD Contract No. DC/2013/01 “Tolo Harbour Sewerage of Unsewered Areas Stage 2 - Phase 1 and Sewerage in Nam Wa Po and Wai Tau” provides sewerage system to 13 unsewered villages or areas in Sha Tin and Tai Po districts in order to improve the sanitary condition of the concerned areas, as well as the water quality in Shing Mun River and Tolo Harbour. The project commenced in mid-July 2013, and the public sewerage system in Sha Tin area is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2017.
