Consultancy Awarded for Agreement No. CE 12/2013 (DS) "River Flood Risk Study, Stage 2 Package 3 - Feasibility Study"

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a HK$3.88 million consultancy agreement on 29 November 2013 with AECOM Asia Company Limited to conduct a feasibility study for reviewing the river flood risks at 20 selected rural catchment areas and some river reaches in Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and Lantau Island.

The scope of the study comprises conduction of field assessment, hydraulic analysis and detailed design, and provides recommendations for first aid measures and flood warning systems. The study also includes formulation of long term mitigation measures for next design and construction stage. The study is expected to take about 22 months to complete.
