Contract awarded for Contract No. DC/2013/01 “Tolo Harbour Sewerage of Unsewered Areas Stage 2 – Phase 1 and Sewerage in Nam Wa Po and Wai Tau”

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a $360 million contract with the Contractor Sequence Construction Company Limited on 9 August 2013 for construction of village sewers in Sha Tin and Tai Po District to cope with the planned developments, and to implement sewerage works improving the environmental hygiene in unsewered villages.

The contract comprises mainly the construction of about 19.3km of sewers and rising mains at Siu Lek Yuen, Ngau Pei Sha, Tsok Pok Hang, Sha Tin Heights, Fui Yiu Ha, Kwai Tei New Village and Sha Tin Fishermen’s New Village (also known as Ah Kung Kok Fishermen Village), Kau To and Tin Liu in Sha Tin, as well as Ha Wun Yiu, Shan Tong, Nam Wa Po and Wai Tau Tsuen in Tai Po; and three sewage pumping stations at Kau To, Nam Wa Po and Wai Tau Tsuen.  The contract is scheduled for completion in mid-2017.
