DSD Commences a 3-Year Term Contract for Waste Disposal and Minor Civil Engineering Works

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) commenced a 3-year term contract valuing about $100 millions with Dixie Engineering Company Limited on 1 July 2013.  The scope of the contract comprises disposal of wastes and minor civil engineering works at various sewage treatment plants and pumping stations in Urban Area, Lantau Island and Outlying Islands.  In the commencement ceremony held on 12 July 2013, Mr. SHE Siu-kuen, Assistant Director/Electrical and Mechanical, led the colleagues of Sewage Treatment Division 2, DSD and representatives of the contractor conveying occupational safety and health messages.
