Consultancy Awarded for Agreement No. CE 46/2012 (DS) "River Flood Risk Study - Stage 2, Package 1"

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) signed a HK$3.20 million consultancy agreement on  8 March 2013 with Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Limited to conduct a feasibility study for reviewing the river flood risks at 11 selected rural catchment areas (RCAs) in Hong Kong.

The scope of the study comprises conduction of field assessment, hydraulic analysis, detailed design, and provides recommendations for first aid measures and flood warning systems. The study also includes formulation of long term mitigation measures for next design and construction stage. The study is expected to take about 20 months to complete.
