Deputy Director of Drainage Services gave Interviews to Media on Green Roof

Mr. TSUI Wai, the Deputy Director of Drainage Services, gave interviews to Oriental Daily News and Ming Pao on the study of green roof at Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works on 20 and 24 December 2012 respectively.

Green roof not only increases the greening space in the Sewage Treatment Works, improves the living environment for surrounding residents, the preliminary findings of the study show that green roof can also reduce indoor temperature of the building during summer as well as reduce and delay the peak runoff thereby relieve the flooding risk.
