Chief Executive’s Appreciation Reception

The Typhoon Vicente struck Hong Kong from 23 to 24 July as the first hurricane-level tropical cyclone since 1999.  During this period, civil servants in various bureaux/departments and employees of relevant government contractors and public transport operators performed most professionally in holding the fort under the adverse weather conditions. To express his appreciation for their exceptional service, the Chief Executive hosted an appreciation reception on 3 August (Friday) at the Government House.  Six Drainage Services Department (DSD) staff were invited to attend the reception.
