Description

The proposed drainage improvement works in the Assignment are:

  1. Village flood protection scheme (polder scheme) at Ha Wan Tsuen and Lok Ma Chau Tsuen;
  2. Drainage upgrading works at Ko Hang Ha, Ping Kong and Ying Pun; and
  3. Flood walls at Yuen Leng, Upper Ng Tung River and Lower Ping Yuen River.

This Assignment mainly includes the following services:

  • adoptive review based on the findings in the Investigation studies;
  • update of studies conducted in the Investigation stage, including hydraulic modelling, impact assessment studies (environmental, traffic, drainage, sewerage, geotechnical, utility etc.), architectural and landscaping design, and land requirements;
  • conduct Environmental Impact Assessment and prepare other statutory submissions;
  • supervision of site investigations, surveys and testing;
  • consultation with relevant stakeholders in relation to the proposed works;
  • conduct the necessary gazettal procedures that are required to facilitate taking the project forward to the subsequent construction stages;
  • detailed design, preparation of tender documents and assessment of tenders; and
  • construction supervision and commissioning of the works.
