Hung Shui Kiu Effluent Polishing Plant – Phase 1
The scope of the project comprises –
(a) construction of Hung Shui Kiu Effluent Polishing Plant ("HSKEPP"), including construction of all civil structures and installation of the initial phase of electrical and mechanical facilities to provide a sewage treatment capacity of 60 000 cubic metres per day at Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area ("HSK/HT NDA");
(b) implementation of ancillary works including construction of utilities bridge, connection of the HSKEPP to the existing effluent discharge tunnel and associated modification works, utilities diversion, road and drainage works, sewerage connection and landscape works, implementation of temporary traffic measures and renewable energy installations, etc.; and
(c) implementation of environmental mitigation measures, and environmental monitoring and audit programme and construction supervision for the works mentioned in items (a) to (b) above
HSKEPP will be an essential sewerage infrastructure of HSK/HT NDA and nearby areas, to provide reliable sewage treatment services to the public. HSKEPP is expected to be at secondary-plus treatment level
