The scope of project comprises the construction of (1) about 9.1 kilometres (km) of sewers for seven unsewered areas, namely Kei Lun Wai, Yeung Siu Hang, Lam Tei, Tsing Shan Tsuen, Tseng Tau Sheung Tsuen, Fuk Hang Tsuen (Upper) and Fu Tei Ha Tsuen; (2) three sewage pumping stations at Lok Chui Street, Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre and Fu Tei Ha Tsuen and their associated rising mains and (3) about 2.8 km of gravity trunk sewers within Siu Lam area.

The project aims at providing public sewerage to Kei Lun Wai, Yeung Siu Hang, Lam Tei, Tsing Shan Tsuen, Tseng Tau Sheung Tsuen, Fuk Hang Tsuen (Upper) and Fu Tei Ha Tsuen in Tuen Mun so as to improve the water quality in nearby watercourses and Tuen Mun River Channel as well as the sanitary conditions of these unsewered villages/areas, and extending the sewerage infrastructure further eastwards to Siu Lam for collecting the sewage arising from the existing and planned residential developments in Tuen Mun East.
