Drainage improvement in Northern Hong Kong Island – western lower catchment works

Project Scope
The Project aims at alleviating the flooding problems in western lower catchment of Northern Hong Kong Island. The scope of the project comprises the construction of about 4.2km stormwater drains and decking of about 250m nullah adjacent to Queen's College.
Major Improvements and Benefits
This project is to upgrade the existing stormwater drainage in Wan Chai and Central and Western districts. Together with the Hong Kong West Drainage Tunnel which is under construction, a reasonable flood protection level can be achieved. The project also comprises decking of the existing nullah adjacent to Queen's College, which will bring improvement to the quality of living environment.
