Landscape Enhancement works of existing facilities
Mural is recognized as a popular tool as a public art to beautify a city. It has positive impact to the local community mentally, socially, culturally. The main purpose of this project is to paint a picture of society or environment, created from stories, values, dreams to promote social harmony and sense of place.
DSD values the importance of public art and in the hope of utilizing our facilities to create values to the public. This project aims to engage art talents to create their mural arts on the walls of DSD facilities where these art work offer accessibility to general public without cost and class-based barriers associated with museums and galleries. The theme of the mural will be proposed after deliberation with the artist, expecting that the mural promote sense of belonging, welcoming, vibrancy and openness to the local community and the place.
The scheme also includes the greening and enhancement for some existing fence on DSD facilities to give a green vibe to the neighbourhood.
