The following sewage treatment and flood prevention facilities are open to visits by individual through prior application:

Please refer to the Booking Schedule for the date and time of each facility available for reservations. Each visit takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (10:00am to 11:30am or 2:30pm to 4:00pm).

Application Procedure   
  1. Please return the completed Application Form by email (enquiry@dsd.gov.hk) at least 5 days prior to the date of visit. Visits will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis.
  2. Upon receipt of the application, an email confirmation will be issued to the applicant informing whether the visit can be arranged or not. The date of the visit will be included in the confirmation if the application is approved.

Notes on Application

  1. Participant must be 9 years old on the activity day. Participant who is 9-15 years old must be accompanied by a parent / guardian aged 18 or above.
  2. The number of participants in each visit is 25. If the number of applicants is less than 10 in 5 days prior to the date of visit, the visit will be cancelled.
  3. The maximum no. of participants for each application is 4.
  4. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 7:00am on the date of the scheduled visit, all the scheduled visits on that date will be cancelled, if the signal above is in force after 10:00 am, visit in the afternoon will be cancelled without further notification.
  5. Visitors are advised to wear flat-bottom walking shoes.
  6. For visitors with respiratory symptoms, such as fever, running nose, cough, sneeze, facemask should be worn.
  7. Drainage Services Department reserves the right, with advance notice given, to cancel any scheduled visit.
  8. A notice for cancellation is required at least 3 days before the date of visit if participants who have been arranged to visit wants to cancel the visit booking. If participant cancels the visit without prior notice, DSD reserves the right to refuse the participant’s applications to visit DSD Facilities in the future.
Personal Data Collection Statement
  1. Purpose of Collection
    The personal data provided by means of this form will only be used for processing the application of visiting sewage treatment and flood prevention facilities, and distributing Drainage Services Department information. 
     
  2. Classes of Transferees
    The personal data you provide by means of this form may be disclosed to other government bureaux and departments and other organisations for the purposes mentioned in paragraph 1 above.
     
  3. Access to Personal Data
    You have a right of access and correction with respect to personal data as provided for in sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Your right of access includes the right to obtain a copy of your personal data provided in this form subject to payment of a fee.
