Application Procedure   
  1. Please return the completed Application Form by email (enquiry@dsd.gov.hk) at least 2 weeks prior to the date of visit. Visits will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis.
  2. Upon receipt of the application, an email confirmation will be issued to the applicant informing whether the visit can be arranged or not. The date of the visit will be included in the confirmation if the application is approved.
  3. Drainage Services Department would endeavour to arrange the visit to be conducted on the preferred dates of visit where practicable. However, Drainage Services Department reserves the right to defer the visit to other dates.
  4. Should there be any alterations, please inform us at least a week before the date of visit for necessary arrangement.

3. Arrangements in case of Inclement Weather
  • If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 7AM on the date of the scheduled visit, all the scheduled visits on that date will be cancelled without further notification.
  • For visits to Ngong Ping Sewage Treatment Works:
    If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 or above is hoisted, or Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued by Hong Kong Observatory at 7AM on the date of the scheduled visit, all the scheduled visits on that date will be cancelled without further notification.
  • For visits to Tai Hang Tung Stormwater Storage Tank:
    (i) If Rain Alert / Amber, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or above hoisted during the visit, all visits will be terminated.
    (ii) If Rain Alert / Amber, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal / Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or above hoisted on the day of the visit, all visits on that day will be cancelled without further notification.
    (iii) Should the weather change during the course of visit, DSD may decide to continue or terminate the visits.
  • For School: If the Education Bureau announces the suspension of classes of schools, scheduled school
    visit on that day will be cancelled accordingly with further notification.
  • Under the above circumstances, organsations should contact DSD for rearrangement.
 
4. Visitors are advised to wear flat-bottom walking shoes.
 
5. For visitors with respiratory symptoms, such as fever, running nose, cough,
   sneeze, facemask should be worn.
 
6. Drainage Services Department reserves the right, with advance notice given,
   to cancel any scheduled visit.
  
7. A notice for cancellation is required at least one week before the date of visit
   if your school or organization wants to cancel the visit booking. If school or
   organization cancels the visit without prior notice, DSD reserves the right to
   refuse applications from relevant organizations to visit DSD Facilities in the 
   future.
 
Personal Data Collection Statement
  1. Purpose of Collection
    The personal data provided by means of this form will only be used for processing the application of visiting sewage treatment and flood prevention facilities, and distributing Drainage Services Department information. 
     
  2. Classes of Transferees
    The personal data you provide by means of this form may be disclosed to other government bureaux and departments and other organisations for the purposes mentioned in paragraph 1 above.
     
  3. Access to Personal Data
    You have a right of access and correction with respect to personal data as provided for in sections 18 and 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Your right of access includes the right to obtain a copy of your personal data provided in this form subject to payment of a fee.
