DSD awards consultancy agreement on condition survey for underground sewers and drains (Date: 25/7/2012)

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) today (July 25) signed a $5.09 million consultancy agreement with Black & Veatch Hong Kong Limited to investigate the structural conditions of underground sewers and drains over the territory, the total length of which is in the order of 50km.

The scope of the study comprises recommendation, planning and implementation of detailed condition survey for each of the concerned underground sewers and drains, and assessment of the structural conditions of these pipelines based on the survey results. The whole study is expected to last 64 months.
