environmental factors contributing to the outbreak of
SARS among occupants in Block E of Amoy Garden.

Construction of Ngong Ping STW - a tertiary
sewage treatment plant with effluent re-use commenced
in August 2003.

Completion of some major flood prevention
projects in 2003-04 helped remove 9 flooding black spots
and downgrade 2 serious flooding black spots to medium
ones.

Commissioning of Sham Tseng STW in December
2003.

Completion of Ma Tin Tsuen and Shui Pin Wai
Village Flood Pumping Schemes this year.
